E-Book, "Eclectic Torch Paintings" by BeaStoertz, Tutorial, Enameling, enamel tutorial
A step-by-step tutorial about how to torch-fire enamel on copper in a new "lampworker" style.
Have you ever wondered how these vivid colors are applied to copper? Here's the answer. Whether you're just starting out or have intermediate skills in enameling or lampwork beadmaking, this tutorial is for you. However, please keep in mind that intensive practice in glassworking is essential to achieve results similar to mine.
I've included step-by-step instructions on pulling multi-color canes, creating striped canes, and making my favorite murrina. You get four tutorials in one package.
No kiln? No problem. This technique only requires a torch, specifically an oxygen/propane torch. While I primarily use this setup, I'm often asked if MAP gas will suffice. While I lack experience with alternative torches, I encourage you to experiment. If you can melt several layers of enamel with it, you're good to go. Melting glass may take more time, but it's feasible.
