Colorful Glass Jewelry – Handmade Glass Bead Necklaces, Earrings and Bracelets

Colorful glass jewelry is at the center of my studio work.

Here you will find handmade glass bead necklaces, earrings and bracelets made from individually formed glass beads with a consciously guided color composition. The colors are not mixed randomly into something simply “colorful,” but intentionally coordinated so they support each other and create a clear visual effect.

Each handmade glass bead necklace becomes a one-of-a-kind piece of glass jewelry – clearly designed and suitable for everyday wear.

I mainly work with glass from Murano as well as selected glasses from Germany, the Czech Republic and the USA. Every glass bead is shaped in the flame using traditional lampwork techniques. These lampwork glass beads are then refined by hand and assembled into finished jewelry. This is how glass bead jewelry with substance, precise color composition and visible material quality comes into being.

Material, Technique and Everyday Wear

I string the necklaces on durable stainless steel wire. Glass is more resilient than many people assume. What it does not like is a fall onto a hard floor. If a piece ever needs to be restrung or repaired after years of wear, I am happy to take care of it.

Depending on the design, I use silver or gold-plated silver alongside the glass for a refined look. In other pieces I deliberately use stainless steel – durable and skin-friendly.
