What a button can do – creative ways to use my handmade enamel buttons

Not these.
These buttons are the focus. The beginning of something.
The small centerpiece around which an entire project can revolve. Whether used as closures, accents, or jewelry elements – they add something personal. Each colorful button is handmade in the flame, enameled on copper, and finished with raised glass dots. Nothing glued, nothing layered – just one continuous process, one expressive result.
In this post, I’ll show you how these handmade enamel buttons can go far beyond clothing – and how they can transform everyday pieces into something unmistakably yours.
Macramé meets enamel – buttons as centerpiece and closure
A button doesn’t always have to be an afterthought. In macramé bracelets or crocheted jewelry, it can be the central piece that gives the whole design its edge.
Your new favorite button needs no setting, no metal findings, no tools.
Just thread your cord or elastic through the two holes – and you’re done.
They’re ideal for anyone who wants color, texture, and a bit of boldness – without compromising on ease or function.
Because why hide the closure, when it can be the highlight?

Skip the clasp – a button that finishes your necklace with style
A handmade necklace doesn‘t necessarily need a metal clasp. Especially in fiber-based designs, classic closures can feel out of place.
These enamel buttons offer a simple, tool-free solution – and bring personality to the back of your piece.
One side gets a small loop, the other this handmade button.
That’s all it takes for a functional closure that blends seamlessly into the design – or even becomes the visual anchor.
Each button is one of a kind, made in the flame and fired with color.
What better way to close your work than with something that actually adds to it?

From ordinary to original – buttons for jackets, hats & bags
A plain jacket from the high street. A straw hat. A tote bag you’ve used for years.
They’re functional – but missing a spark.
Add a handmade enamel button, and that changes.
You’re not fixing a garment. You’re claiming it.
Sew it on with just a few stitches – no special skills or tools needed.
Use it to cover a worn spot, replace a boring factory button, or add a splash of personality where no one expects it.
These enameled buttons let you turn something mass-produced into something that feels like yours again. And only yours!

🛒 Feel like starting your own fabulous button project?
How to use them – no tools, no stress
Every button has two holes – so you can sew it on like any fabric button.
But unlike standard buttons, these don’t try to disappear.
Most of my customers use them in ways you won’t find in a sewing pattern:
– As a closure for wrap bracelets or macramé pieces
– As a loop-and-button clasp for fiber necklaces
– Sewn onto hats, bags, sleeves, or patchwork jackets
– Incorporated into textile art, brooches, or fabric book covers
– As colorful eye-catchers in earrings or jewelry designs (especially with spacer beads)
Each one is made from enameled copper, approx. 25 mm in size, and is built to last.
Just one note: if you plan to machine wash the fabric, cover the button or go for handwashing.
